BANK OF TANZANIA ACADEMY

The Bank of Tanzania Academy offers long-term professional training through an Ordinary Diploma in Banking Practice and Supervision (ODBPS) as well as short-term specialized and professional courses in banking and central banking with the objective of imparting skills and knowledge to the staff of the central banks and other financial institutions in Tanzania, EAC and SADC countries.

Long Term Programme

BOT Academy offers a long-term programme leading to the Ordinary Diploma in Banking Practice and Supervision (ODBPS), with effect from 15th November each academic year. Further, plans are underway to offer in the future, another higher-level long-term professional training leading to the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Banking Practice and Supervision (PDBPS).

SHORT-TERM PROGRAMMES

The BOT Academy designs and delivers short-term professional training and awareness programmes to cater for the training needs of the Financial institutions, EAC and SADC central banks, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Directors, Managers and the General Public. These programmes include: a) Programme for the staff of financial institutions; b) programme for the staff of EAC and SADC central banks; c) executive programme; and d) Literacy and public awareness programme.
