Class Description

OBJECTIVE AND CONTENTS

The course intends to impart necessary skills to participants on regulatory expectation on implementation of Basel II & III Standards.
TARGET GROUP
This course is specifically designed for Financial Controllers, Account Executives, Finance Executives, External Auditors, Internal Auditors, Risk Officers, Officers from Credit and Treasury functions, Risk and Compliance Officers, and submission of regulatory returns.

▪ An overview of Tanzania financial sector legal and regulatory framework
▪ Chronology from Basel I to III.
▪ Computation of Capital as per Basel III framework.
ii. Basel II/III Capital Adequacy Framework
▪ Capital Charge for Credit Risk for using Simplified Standardized Approach.
▪ Capital Charge for Market Risk using Simplified Standardized Approach
▪Capital Charge for Operational Risk using Standardized Approach

iii. Supervisory Review Process and Approaches
▪ Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process.
▪ Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process.
iv. Market Discipline and disclosure disclosures
v. Basel III Leverage Ratio and Liquidity Requirements.
▪Leverage Ratio.
▪Liquidity Coverage Ratio.
▪Net Stable Funding Ratio.

FEES
