Implementation of Basel II and III Capital Requirements for ICAAP and ILAAP

Class Description

OBJECTIVE
The course intends to impart necessary skills to participants to be able to develop a consistent approach, process, and methods for proactive planning, assessment and maintenance of adequate capital and liquidity as well as skills to undertake risk-based capital allocations.

TARGET GROUP
This course is designed for Financial Controllers, Accountants, Auditors, and officers from Treasury, Credit, Risk, Compliance and Finance units

COURSE CONTENTS
i. Overview of Basel II and III
ii. Board and senior management oversight
iii. Sound capital assessment
iv. Comprehensive risk assessment for liquidity and other risks
v. Designing adequate systems for monitoring and reporting risk exposures
vi. Enforcing Internal control and conducting independent review
vii. Performing Stress testing on banks portfolios
viii. Submission of Regulatory ICAAP and ILAAP Reporting
ix. Conducting Supervisory Review and Evaluation
x. Management of intra-day liquidity, encumbrances, high quality liquid assets, and collaterals,
xi. Setting Product Price
xii. Liquidity Contingency Plans; and
xiii. Enforcement of Administrative Sanctions.

COURSE FEE
The course is offered at TZS 1.0 million for resident participant and TZS 2.7 million for non-resident. This fee covers tuition, course materials, lunch, and mid-session refreshments.
